OUR SERVICES - WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US...

  • Rates: Competitive rates & top quality, well-maintained, properly licensed and insured vehicles.

    The prices we quote are the prices you’ll pay on delivery - no surprises from us!

  • Office Hours: 8 a.m to 5 p.m. Mon - Sat; 8 a.m. - 12 noon on Sundays and Holidays; Closed Easter Sunday and Christmas Day

  • Vehicle Collection/Delivery Options: FREE delivery island-wide or at the airport during our office hours (you are responsible for parking charges for your vehicle of $2 US per hour or part thereof when you exit the airport).

    If we say we’ll deliver at 9 a.m. - we’ll be there at 9 a.m. (not 9 a.m. “Bajan” time!)

    If you wish the vehicle delivered to you outside our office hours there is an after-hours delivery charge of $15 US for deliveries prior to 9 p.m., and $25 US for deliveries after 9 p.m. and prior to 9 a.m..

    Airport drop-off of vehicle on departure available - there is a $7.50 - $10 US charge for this.

  • Fuel: Vehicles are to be returned at the end of the rental period with the same amount of fuel as received at the start of the rental period.

    If you check the license disks on our vehicles you’ll find that they are not expired … which is the case with some car rental companies… and guess what?! There’s no insurance coverage on vehicles with expired licenses!!

    Every vehicle we deliver will have the required blue “H” on the license plate which is required for rental vehicles. If you hire a vehicle that doesn’t have a blue “H” license plate chances are it’s against the law and you may have no insurance coverage in the event of an accident.

    And, of course, every one of our well-maintained vehicles will be delivered with that special Top Car Rentals service!


 

OUR RENTAL TERMS - WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU...

  • Age: Hirers/drivers must be between the ages of 25 and 80 years old, with 2 years driving experience, and drivers between 75 and 80 years old are required to provide a recently completed medical certificate, the form for which we can provide upon request.

  • License/Permits: Hirer must present a valid driver's license at time of rental. A local temporary driver's permit is required prior to driving in Barbados. Cost of this temporary permit is $5 US each, and they are valid for two months. These permits can be obtained online prior to your arrival in the island at: https://portal.bra.gov.bb/VisitorPermit. We also can issue these permits at time of delivery of the vehicle to you from permit books we obtain from the local Licensing Authority. However, we would suggest obtaining one online prior to your arrival in the island if possible (especially during high season from November to April) as there are occasionally times when these permit books are out of stock at the local Licensing Authority.

  • Additional Drivers: One driver is allowed per contract at no additional cost. There is an extra driver fee of $2.50 US per day, with a maximum charge of $50 US per rental per driver. Spouses are exempt from additional driver charges.

  • Insurance/CDW: With the rate of hire the vehicle is comprehensively insured except for a deductible of $2,500 US in case of loss, accident or damage to the vehicles — regardless of fault.

  • Optional basic excess waiver (CDW) is available and recommended to cover this deductible. If this CDW is purchased, responsibility for the deductible is reduced to $350 US, excluding damage to rims, tyres, interior, windshields, and electronic keys and key fobs.

    In the event of an accident or damage this CDW is voided and must be purchased again for the rest of the hire. 

    We are unable to offer any discounted rates or specials if our basic excess waiver is declined.

  • Additional Insurance to reduce your liability to $0 (excluding damage to rims and tyres) is available for purchase at the rate of $20 US per day.

  • Tyre damage: Damage to rims and tyres is not covered by the CDW. Flat tyres are repaired free of charge, but if a tyre or rim has been damaged beyond repair, the hirer will be charged for the cost of replacement.

  • GPS: Garmin Nuvi GPS navigation systems with the Barbados map downloaded are available for $7.50 US per day, up to a maximum of $50 US per rental term. There is a $225 US charge if the Garmin GPS is damaged or not returned at the end of the rental period.

  • Child Seats: Baby, toddler and booster seats are available at $2.50 US per day, up to a maximum of $50 US per rental term.

  • Cleaning Fee: We ask that you take some measure of care with our vehicles during your rental period as a cleaning fee of $125 US may be charged in the event of return of a vehicle with excessively dirty, stained or wet interior.

  • Security Deposit: Please note that we do require a blank, signed, credit card charge slip to hold for the duration of your rental for incidental damages up to the $350 US deductible/excess limit on the CDW coverage (in lieu of placing a pre-authorization on your credit card). This slip is destroyed at the end of the rental upon return of the vehicle in the same condition as delivered at the beginning of your rental, or arrangements can be made with our delivery personnel at time of delivery for return of the voucher to you at the end of the rental.
