Do I need an international driver’s license in Barbados?

No, but a local drivers permit is required to drive in Barbados;  it is valid for 2 months and costs $5 US. This may be obtained online prior to your arrival in the island at: https://portal.bra.gov.bb/VisitorPermit
We also can issue these permits at time of delivery of the vehicle to you from permit books we obtain from the local Licensing Authority.  However, we would suggest obtaining one online prior to your arrival in the island if possible (especially during high season from November to April) as there are occasionally times when these permit books are out of stock at the local Licensing Authority.
